UpdateAI – Zoom meeting assistant

A little about me

Sean

I’m Sean, I’m a 32-year-old SoCal native who – you might’ve just guessed – loves to hit the beach when I’m off the clock. I’m also a big basketball fan who plays pickup hoops a few times a week. I was never any good at football or baseball, but I love to watch both of those sports, too, and I write a football gambling newsletter in my spare time.

I have a few “nerd” hobbies as well, including my passion for chess. Lastly, I’ve been working on learning the bass guitar for the past year, but I’m still a long way off from becoming the next Duff McKagan.

Why I joined UpdateAI

I can point to two reasons for why I joined the UpdateAI team. The first one is simple – I immediately saw, based on my day-to-day experience on Zoom meetings, that UpdateAI was solving a real issue that impacts millions of professionals. That intrigued me.

The second reason is because of the company’s leadership. Soon after a mutual business acquaintance connected me with CEO Josh Schachter, I realized he’s someone I want to work with. Not only does he have a vision for UpdateAI, but he also has a game plan for how he’s going to reach those goals. At the same time, he’s direct with his expectations, without ever compromising his affable approach. In short, he’s someone you want to follow.

What I do at UpdateAI

I help write the weekly newsletter. That means if you don’t like the tone of it, you can blame me. And if you do like it, please be sure to let Josh know. I occasionally write other posts that end up on the UpdateAI website as well. .

Why I'm so excited about UpdateAI

I’m excited about UpdateAI because its success will make the lives of so many professionals much easier. By capturing action items from Zoom meetings, it allows the user to not focus on nonstop note taking; instead, they can focus on building relationships with the other people on their calls. That’s a worthwhile pursuit in my mind.

Which core company value I align with the most

“Act With Authenticity.” This is imperative, whether it’s in business or your personal life. Most of the time, if you’re being disingenuous, people will catch on. It’s an innate feeling – if someone can’t trust you, it’s hard for them to be close to you. That’s why I respect and admire the radical candor approach that UpdateAI has fostered. It engenders honesty and creates a solid foundation for relationships, both business and professional, to flourish.
